The Post-Event Blog Post!
We are not quite 48 hours since the last rider showed up at the finish line, which was Henry Do in the 200km category. Henry finished at 4:15am, greeting me at the Civitan Hall in Cobden with a "Hello Cam, it's Henry, I'm finished". We then chatted for a few minutes as he took off his gloves yes remained seated with his helmet on and as I went to make him some tea in the kitchen, Henry quickly drifted off to sleep whilst sitting in his chair. His cat nap was only a minute long. He sipped some tea as I handed him his Finisher Magnet. Henry wasn't done though, despite the finish being at the Civitan Hall as the brewery was closed up, he was adament to ride to where he started and, so he did.
He, along with everyone else absolutely crushed it and you should feel very proud for showing up at the start line, in negative 30C temps and setting your mind to get as far as you could.
