NEW for 2026!

Alternate Return Route for the 200KM Event.

After much deliberation it has been decided that offering a new return route for the 200km riders is in order. This is due mainly for safety reasons around the use of the Algonquin Trail from Pembroke to Petawawa and its return during evening and night time hours. Second to this reason is the continued degradation of trail conditions making the route nearly impassable in recent years wherein the spirit of riding/pedaling your fatbike is taken away.

Leaving Mallard's Milk Bar Checkpoint in Arnprior, this return route will take riders Southwest towards Calabogie and into the rolling hills travelling West into Douglas and its farm fields with a finish on the Algonquin Trail as you climb into Cobden on that notorious false flat section!

This return route will offer the rider a little bit of everything, from pavement, gravel, skidoo trail on summer roads. Re-supply is EXTREMELY LIMITED. Your only options being in Burnstown at the NEAT Cafe and again in Douglas, if the General Store is open...
